It really is no different from when I ordered my Tiguan early in 2018- it was a 36 week waiting time then, as many will remember.
I was lucky as I was able to access a vehicle ‘on the way’ to the dealership, no real choice of colour etc, and had extras that maybe I would not have ordered, such as the hands free parking , but I had a car in a couple of weeks.
I still have an ID4 on order, but I am told that they have stopped production, and I am currently looking around at other vehicles ,and will probably not have a VW this time, but I have not yet cancelled the order for the ID 4.
