yup the x5 is quite high for lifting etc.. lovely motor but so is x3. Its not so much bigger than the x1 that it causes issues. lovely drive; i have had a shot of one. not cheap tho
It isn’t cheap as you say. The other option could be a Porsche Macan S. I’ve driven a diesel one and it was lovely to drive but now it comes with the V6 petrol that was until recently in the GTS. A relative of mine has a GTS and it sounds absolutely gorgeous, but drinks like a fish. That’s why we’ve stuck with Motability as it reigns me in to what we ‘need’ rather than what we’d ‘like’ ? That being said, we are very pleased with our X1 and in reality it ticks virtually all boxes.
