I currently have a 3 door Cooper S and will be very sorry to see it go. It makes me smile every time I drive it but with a new baby it’s simply not practical any more and I’m waiting for a Cooper S All 4 Countryman. I’ve driven the JCW hatch a few times as demonstrator/courtesy cars when mine has had to go in for work and even though the outright performance day to day is very similar the brakes on the JCW are so much better than the often worrying ones on the Cooper S. I did ask Motability if it was possible to get the JCW Countryman or Clubman as my Countryman order has been delayed several times and JCWs were available in stock but they didn’t seem interested unfortunately. It’s a shame as there are some 300bhp cars on the scheme.
