    Must agree. Proper physical knobs, buttons and levers are much safer. Your hand knows where they are and how to use them. No need to engage the eyeball at all. That said, in a recent set of test drives, I found the screens in the T-ROC and Golf quite intuitive to use but only when stationary at lights etc. Much happier with proper push/pull/slide controls. Happily, I do not ever use a mobile in the car. Nor do I listen to the radio or any other broadcast or recorded music etc. Only thing displayed on my Mini touch-screen is the map, because the passengers like looking at it.
