Totally agree, Brydo. It WILL happen because a few people will make very large amounts of money from it. Still got a long way to go. The fledging AI in my car still cannot cope with, for example, low temperatures and their effect on tyre pressures. I have to stop it calling for assistance from a tyre SWAT team. When the autonomous control AI decides to pull me over to side of road then I hope for one thing – an off-button. Same can be said of AI-type systems used in aviation: if the 737 Max had and off-switch for the faulty stall function then a good few hundred people would not have lost their lives. Same could, and probably will, apply to road transport.
