My current Peugeot e-2008 comes in at about 136bhp (100kW electric motor) but it has max torque at all speeds which takes getting used to,
Previous SEAT Alhambra 2.0 TDI DSG was 148bhp, it was plenty for what was a very heavy car.
Previous to that was a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 TDI with the nighmare semi auto gearbox, making 115bhp. It was enough power & very frugal, but the thing tried to change gear every time I pulled out at a roundabout, stalling progress for a second whilst it tried to decide on what gear to try.
So, a range of 115-148bhp, if I was towing a big caravan I’d want more but I haven’t towed for over 20 years & am happy in that power range. If I wanted a better power to weight ratio I’d use a motorbike.
