Great that you both found it spot on.
I had the same conclusion as Mrs Macca on comfort. For my condition, I’ve found my X1 about as good as it gets and so was nervous about trying anything else. The XC40’s seats look longer and they are, I think, but only slightly. The seats backs were also on par so it got a ✅ there.
Don’t worry at all about the cruise. You’re right in that it’s just something different that will become second nature.
Having different/varying toys is part of why I like to change.
