Out of interest, I’ve just done a search on twitter to see if anyone has asked Elon Musk about this before.
My search returned absolutely loads of results. This question or similar questions regarding Tesla and Motability have been put to Musk pretty consistently via twitter for the past three years. The oldest tweet I found was back in 2014
