Could someone explain to an absolute EV novice (me) what would be the best setup starting from scratch. For example, I know Motability will provide a home charger and since I’m currently on Octopus for my home supplier and am very happy with them so will Motability install a suitable charger which would work with my home supplier? Or are their better options?
There are much better Octopus compatible chargers than Ohme that cost as little as £100 more to install , but you would bearing the full cost to have one installed, unless your in Scotland and with Bumblebee’s catchment area, then you would get a choice of any of the chargers they install through Motability.
Kezo I am in a bit of a strange position I have a perfectly reliable PodPoint 7kWh EV tethered charger, however, it is not compatible with Octopus Intelligent, even if I lease a octopus compatible EV vehicle ?
Ohme EV are I’m my opinion poor quality, do Mobility give yo a choice of a better EV charger if you pay the difference.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
