Our British Gas tariff is fixed till August this year, 24p and 12p for five hours on Sunday and occasional Green events when it’s windy. The Sunday cheap rate is more than enough to charge the car for our usage. If prices rise considerably in August I think we’re definitely getting solar and a battery, probably cost about £7k. Just checked and British Gas are offering a fixed deal at 27.5p till June next year. They mustn’t think it’s going to rise that much if they are offering that price. I’m half tempted to take a gamble and switch, I’ll pay more till August but will save if things get silly.

Cornwall insight are expecting a £300+ jump in June, so wise to do the maths now.
