🤣 I recall that when the i4 first came onto the scheme, people expressed frustration that the 40 wasn’t available, as in the leasing market in general there was only a small difference in rentals between the 35 and 40. Sadly, this seems to be the case with Motability these days. On the very rare occasions that something a bit tasty comes on to the scheme (which the i4 undoubtedly is), all we tend to get offered are the entry level models that private buyers and business leasers (who aren’t as restricted in choice) don’t want. I guess that Motability is a soft target for manufacturers to get their volumes up.

In Motability’s defence though, I’m really impressed (and pleased for those who want one) that the i4 remains on the scheme and that they didn’t remove it as a knee jerk reaction to all the adverse press about Motability a few months back (which specifically cited this car). Makes a change from when the same thing happened years ago, which started the prolonged cull from a choice of over 5,000 cars to the 800 odd we have today.
