    I agree about older cars @kezo. They can provide very cheap but good quality motoring, even allowing for the odd problem, as you get virtually no depreciation and they are cheap to repair. The cheapest car that I ever ran was a 6 year old BMW 750i Sport 4.4 V8. I sold it for more than I paid for it, so it cost me nothing! If I could find one, I’d love to buy a Ford Scorpio Cosworth 2.9 24v that I had new as a company car in 1996. Sadly, they haven’t lasted!
