I was an idiot, I paid £6999 AP less the £750 and £250 for the Suzuki Across, next moth it dropped to £5499 and then £4999, I was bit bit miffed, to be honest I still would have been an idiot to pay a £4999, especially now that Motability has clapped down on 5 year extensions.
The Suzuki Across is a fantastic vehicle outside the scheme it is far beyond my fiancial means, running cost around 5 pence per mile and that includes towing. Would I pay £7999 for a Mercedes GLA PHEV, no chance even if they put my meds, our neighbour Paul who was an AA guy brought one new and got shot of it after a couple on months, he found Mercedes a nightmare to deal with all the issues.
If Motability refuse our lease extension in August 2026 we will either buy secondhand or limit our AP to £1500/£2000 maximum if the new long range KIA/Hyundia EV3 came on the scheme
