Last night was the first negative temp night since I installed my heat pump and it worked perfectly. Tonight’s temp is forecast to fall to -7*C so let’s see how it copes. The pump is set to supply hot water at 42*C and I won’t be adjusting this at present. My indoor temp is set at 21.5*C and will be running 24/7.

Yesterday my electricity use was 23.78 kwh which includes the heat pump, a clothes washing, some EV charging and in general running the house. Not too shabby if you ask me. I will have no washing or car charging in my usage results which I will get on Monday so lets see how much I use to run the house and heat it.

Just for a comparison I was using up to 103Kwh of gas to run the combi boiler to heat the house last week when the outside day and night time temperatures were much higher.

The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.
