Thanks Stuart some great info therešDid you sign up for the Charge Anytime tariff on joining Ovo,or do you have to take the standard variable rate option and then upgrade to Charge Anytime as an existing customer?
Once youāve joined OVO, you can just add Anytime https://www.ovoenergy.com/compatibility-check-charge-anytime?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgfm3BhBeEiwAFfxrGwn-KkVB1UD4Jpsw2phJ5x7R9Ddq-SlMlVpBPPTMMihYSXcC1lnu8RoCUnsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds I donāt know if youāve already got a Wall-charger but thereās a list of compatible chargers on their site. Octopus also have a list of compatible chargers https://octopus.energy/get-an-ev-charger/ ā¦Ohme work with both. The only reason I mention it is because I trust the charger software more than the cars software, to control the charge. That comes from getting an ID.3 in 2021 with VW 2.1 softwareā¦! š Weāre all different and what works for one person doesnāt necessarily work for someone else. This EV charging at home and smart electric tariffs is still in its infancy and Iāve no doubt that 10 years from now itāll be smarter again. Cheers
Thanks again Stuart,I have the ohme charger being installed but car (Renault Scenic e-tech) isnāt compatible with Octopus, which in all honesty seems very complicated to me and I would need the full 7 hours for a 60% charge which ovo provides.
