Just received a letter from DLM, as I had recently added a private plate.
The excess for over 25 (as Markah says doesnt matter if its 10 mins or 10 years) is £100.
Excess 21-24 is £300
Excess 16-20 is £500..
Kinda answers the excess for young drivers.
Honestly thought it would be a brutal excess for someone who is 17…lol.
And yes the youngest is 16 years, its not a typo.
