I’m just not recognising this at all. Are you guys who are kicking off about poor treatment from salesmen, just walking in off the street unannounced expecting hugs and kisses from the retail salesmen who know chuff all about the Motability system? They should be pointing you to their Motability Rep. I’m not condoning any ignorant behaviour however. Surely, if the particular dealership is signed up to the Motability scheme then they have dedicated staff for that purpose. I always phone up/email any dealership to arrange an appointment to view/test drive/discuss options/lead times/sign up/collect etc. Always been well looked after and kept informed. Never had to approach any other salesman. Think some of you may be coming across as tyre kickers in the showroom ?
My thoughts exactly, I have never suffered the type of thing some people are reporting. On two occasions in the last year I have been looking for a car, and although I ended up sticking with Audi on both occasions I did visit some other manufacturer dealerships and they all treated me well. Both Audi dealerships I visited (some 150 miles apart and different companies) were amazing and treated us like royalty right to and including the day we collected the car.
