    When you think that right hand drive have a very limited market without the UK, you can see why manufacturers wouldn’t be keen. When you also take into account the fact that VAG are struggling to get their sales in anyway, adding 10%+ to prices over here or, worse, having to swallow a 10% cost would just about kill their sales or profits.

    I think there are around 75 countries that use rhd and 163 that use lhd lol.

    Given most cars coming into the UK come from EUrope, along with the governments ZEV mandate, you can see why the big brands wanted it to be delayed. I believe one countries automaker was the only one agains’t the delay.

    Neither the UK or EU have enough gigafactories to fulfill the source of origin rules yet, so it makes common sense to delay.
