Hi Mannan, I never even looked at the BMW i4 for two reasons, one I could not afford an extra £2,000 (the Ioniq 6 Premium dropping from £8,000 in Q3 to £2,999 and the Ultimate with the extras I need being £3,500) and secondly the BMW does not come with what I need and would cost a fortune for factory fitted extras.

However I do agree that if not as ideal as an estate for a folding wheelchair, a hatchback is certainly more suitable than a saloon boot, but I have already extended my Kia Optima Estate over the 5 years as I was really struggling to find a suitable car that meet all my needs, for the first time in dealing with Motability in nearly 40 years. But my two PA’s assure me that putting and fitting the wheelchair in the boot will not be a problem other than when we go on holiday twice a year, but one of my PA’s will now also take her car for extra luggage space.
