No petrol in 2030…lol, thats a good one, what next? No meat and cheese as we must all be vegans?
There are over 33 million registered cars in the UK today (and around 6 million other vehicles), the vast majority of these are petrol or diesel powered. EV’s would be lucky to reach more than a few %, even at current growth rates, there would still be a 3-1 ratio of ICE cars over EV’s on the road.
Daft scaremongering against ICE is as bad as the daft scaremongering about EV’s. There is no need for it.
As for taxation, we will all be being gouged by the Govt regardless of fuel before long, pay per mile or road tolls…or both. The current tax holiday for EV’s cannot last.
