I was in a similar situation when I got my first MB car. Long n/c record stretching back over 30 years. Unfortunately, after a couple of years it expired.
Due to personal reasons, I came off MB after 5 years to get my own car and MB gave me a letter confirming no claims with them and along with my previous record, the insurance company gave me maximum no claims bonus.
Dont worry too much as most insurance companies have a limit on the number of years that are relevant, some are 9 or 12 years and anything above is irrelevant.
Just enjoy the new car without the annual hassle of finding out which company will rip you of least!

PS. I’m back on the scheme and glad I don’t have to worry about the insurance.
