    When I was at the local MG (ex-Mitsubishi) dealer recently I overheard a conversation between an unhappy MG customer and the service desk clerk. Basically, 1 year old car (with a 7 year warranty) was throwing up random engine management warnings and customer wanted it looked at. Response from clerk was that customer would have to pay £120  upfront for diagnostics and then if MG UK felt there was an issue, they would refund the cost. Customer challenged that this not in spirit of a manufacturer 7-year warranty, but failed, and ended up paying the charge.

    If that’s typical process then no wonder many MG customers are not happy.
