Just message from dealer my build week is 2 weeks time. Wonder how long will actual build take and delivery!

Once your car hits the assembly line it will be in and out in next to no time and once built it could take a couple of months before its in your hands but again some are about 4 to 6 weeks, personally mine was nearly 3 months from factory to keys in hand.
Your dealer was having a bit of a jest with you when they said 2 years delivery, though I know of a very small few who are not far of that. Adding extra’s to a build can put you down the pecking order and my long wait was party due to adding the IQ Lights to my car and VW withdrew the option all together not long after my order but honoured the order. If two weeks (Build code 20) is correct then you’ve not done bad adding the electric tail gate as its another option that was causing hold ups along with the sunroof and could well be why the dealer made the two year joke.
