Interesting thread here. Notable for me is that someone in receipt of PIP probably isn’t working. I’m not sure that holds water.
Additionally, lots of people will be dealing with Motability on behalf of a disabled family member, not themselves.
I think Motability should continue to offer a broad spectrum of vehicles for *everyone*
Where people want to pay higher APs for ‘nicer’ vehicles that should be an option and there probably shouldn’t be an upper limit (although Daily Mail/Express readers might implode)
Even now, vehicles with crazy APs look more attractive on Motability than they would over a similar period with a normal lease. It’s just a question of what you can afford, what you want and what you need.
