@Brydo that sounds very much like underfloor heating, that operates at a much lower temperature and can be left on24hrs in the coldest months!
We built our last house it was environmentally friendly we installed underfloor heating on the ground and radiators on the first floor, the problem with underfloor heating it take a long time to get up to temperature, hence we used to leave it on at a lower temperature over night.
We now have an energy efficient bungalow at night we set the heating at 16 degrees C bills around £4 – £5 a day at this current cold spell.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
