Funny this has come up as I rang the helpline this morning and spoke to snotty woman. After taking my address she said I’m not eligible as my home is “low energy low cost” I asked her where she got those detail from, she said the governments EPC data base. I said thats funny I’m looking at it now and its say quite the opposite and has an energy rating of “F” (never renewed since moving in 13yrs ago so it expired but told if eligible it would be allowed) Anyway we kept going back and forth for 5 minutes or so.
I then moved on and said I get qualifing benifits. The intersting bit is she said benifits don’t come into it anymore since the government took over the warn home discount!!!
Anyhow I strarted feeling myself getting wound up and put the ohone down and will visit my MP on Monday.
