@AlexKia Glad to hear you’ve cleared it.
The “hidden” manual you speak of sounds like the updated info from Hyundai. It’s pretty much how I described how to clear the filter (perhaps wrote more clearly?). Basically the manual we have explains how to clear a DieselPF (keep driving). Once you know the PPF/GPF regenerate when you lift off the accelerator (during fairly high revs) and creates hot “clean” gasses to pass through it, in theory the PPF should clear fairly easily.
As you have the full hybrid, which rarely seems to get blocked, I wonder if yours cleared easier that the MHEVs.
Today I noticed in the ‘KIA Sportage 2022+ UK only’ Facebook group somebody under the title –
“Anyone else had a recall notice for something to do with the emissions ?” Gentleman’s wife had received phone call from dealership requesting her to book the car in for a recall to do with emissions. The only details of the engine type was – launch edition 1.6tgdi. The launch edition was a manual ice (i.e. not MHEV).
Considering the PPF is there purely for emissions reasons, I’d guess the recall relates to that. I wonder if they are recalling the most basic engine first, then the MHEV. I’m not sure if they will recall the full hybrid. I guess they will see if enough fully hybrid vehicles suffer with excessive clogged filters.
