Yes, it’s perfectly fine to have a stock/showroom car as long as it hasn’t yet been registered. In fact, like yourself, I was offered the same make and model of car recently at my local dealership. It came with a premium colour paint and added fog lights which I would have had to pay the extra for over and above the AP.
