As others have said, there’s no problem getting an in-stock car as long as it hasn’t been pre-registered, the reason being that Motability get full VAT exemption and that only applies to the first registration. However, the dealer is unlikely to let you have the car unless you pay for the BOSE system on top of the AP, although they should give you a bit of discount on the £600 cost of the optional extra.
