I test drove the X-Trail before getting the Kodiaq back in 2017. Absolutely no comparison in my opinion. I found the Nissan very uncomfortable to drive and the build quality was poor, lots of rattles and the auto gearbox was jumpy. The Skoda build quality was really good, the ride was comfortable. I had the 1.4TSi DSG and for a big vehicle never felt I was struggling to pull.  Forget about 0-60, it’s a breeze block on wheels so you are not going to scare people off at the traffic lights and it’s not going to get 60 mpg.  But if you need plenty of space and a comfortable ride, this large SUV is the one to have.

I’ll be going back to the Kodiaq once me current lease is up.
