29 mpg by my reckoning. Much smaller and much cheaper than the BMW so not really comparable but the fuel consumptions a killer.
It’s not “much” cheaper though. The top spec is still £39k – an xDrive 25e xLine is £43k. That’s the entire point: you get much more car (and engine) than a 10%-15% increase in price would suggest. In terms of technology, i mean.. it’s a Mazda. I love certain Mazdas (be it sentimental love like FD3S, or genuine admiration for the MX5), but asking almost £40k for this is.. steep.
I took the “over 370” and been generous at 400 miles.
But sure, scrap the BMW idea – too expensive, too big to compare. What about the A250e? The saloon variant, AMG Line premium plus, can be had for £39k – same price as the MX-30. Almost everything i said about the X1 applies here too, just less practicality – though that’s not the strong part of the MX-30 either.
