Lots of charging points Sue, interestingly my nearest fuel station to me is 20min drive. Ev chargers 5 mins (+2 at my house). I do agree home charging is not available to all. https://www.vehicle-partners.co.uk/news/there-are-now-more-charging-locations-than-petrol-stations#:~:text=That%20means%20that%20there%20are,there%20are%20traditional%20fuel%20stations.

“You may be surprised to know that, according to recently published statistics by Zap-Map (an official source of UK government statistics on electric charging devices), there are nearly 34,000 charging connectors at over 12,000 locations across the country. To put this into perspective, the number of petrol stations in the UK hovers around the 8,300 mark. That means that there are 46% more electric vehicle charging locations than there are traditional fuel stations.”
To put this into perspective a petrol station has at least 10 pumps multiply that by around 8’300 petrol stations thats 83000 pumps agains’t 34000 charge points.
There is a petrol station within reason near every town with at least 10 pumps and possibly 1 or 2 charge points. Travel into big cities each petrol station will have 20 pumps or more and maybe 7 or 8 charge pounts. Motorways will have alot more of each.
And don’t think there are any charge point stations with 10,20 or more charge points yet, but it will come overtime maybe 12-15yrs times. Petrol stations will reduce the number of pumps and replace with charge points, but I don’t know partly because there will still be an awful lot of petrol cars on our roads.
“As a result of the partnership working to support charge point delivery across London, we are leading the way in the electric revolution, with more than 8,600 public charging points installed across the Capital, a third of the UK’s total (December 2021), and an 85 per cent increase since 2019.”
Its safe to say London still has a third of The UK’s charge points In December 2022
