You are right, it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but if it is correct, it could be in our favour if our cars arrive prior to April.
It may be because of the next tax year that they want to hand back some of those excessive profits that they have been accused of. It certainly look better on paper if they are handing back payments directly to vulnerable customers.
Like you said though, it would be good to have a greater degree of certainty, like it being written on the website. This would provide us with an increased confidence, so that we do not unnecessarily delay receiving our cars just to get the payment.
