@kezo I am not trying to sell you anything. But I do feel you need to change your mindset.
You say an emergency call. In reality, would it make much difference if you arrived in 4 hours or 4 hours 30 mins, an extra 30 mins later? There are so many unpredictables on a journey like that, such as roadworks, bad weather and accidents. I am not talking about using an EV. What do you already do when extra time is added to your journey beyond your control?
In the cold light of day, I doubt there is anything you can do or effect for an emergency when you are so far away. I know this as my parents lived more than 200 miles from me. I missed my mother passing because of snow and ice, but there was nothing I could have done to prevent this had I arrived a day earlier yet alone 30 mins sooner. Life sucks. Again, this is nothing to do with an EV.
How you cope with these issues is up to you. But I feel you need to adjust your thinking towards BEVs. By putting up artificial barriers, you are only kidding yourself.
I am sorry, reality sucks and I sincerely hope your emergency never happens.
