I wouldn’t rule anything out with the Two crooks Sunak and Hunt. Remember Hunt last timehe was chancellor!
I do think they say things just to get peoples backs up and put the fear of God in them. Sunak has already started to follow leaders beforehim by making screeching U-Turns. If they do decide to go ahead with it there will be that much uproar it will lead to another U-Turn shortly afterwards.
The Tories like easy targets such as the poor and disabled, but as @Jojoe has said it will be so discrimintory shit would hit the fan and they would be up the creak without a paddle.
They also seem to forget the poor, disabled and pensioners also have a voice when voting comes along.
