Hi @kezo yes the Dacia is here in the country ready for pick up end of next month, after talking with friends ( wish I had done that sooner) although now thinking of cancelling and going for the jazz as in long term ( like next 6 year) the jazz will be better for me , although much more than the Dacia obviously

Hi myself33 will you loose any deposit if you cancel, have you test drove the Honda. Ultimately its down to you mate. Honda are a good car but (and there’s always a but but) If your sole main purpose of a car is tootling round town, going shopping etc, does it matter which car you have. Would you be better especially during pressent times keeping the additional outlay in your pocket. Both cars will last 6yrs, plus many more. Logic says the Jazz will have a better reidual value because it cost’s far more than the Dacia in the first place. As we get a fair bit closer to the ban on sales of new ICE vehicles in 2030 its fair to say (maybe the case) an ICE vechicle’s residual value will further be impacted. Where the 2022 Jazz wins in this case, is the Jazz as I believe are all now hybrids (FHEV). The proposed ban on the sale of new hybrid vehicles is not untill 2035. In this scenario the Jazz will be the safer bet long term and you will see less of an impact if you kept it 6yrs plus comared to the Dacia. Which Jazz have you looked at?

I have paid £100 i am hopeful  (honda dealer said most give it back, and has emailed if i was to cancel order with them they would refund my deposit ) i will get it back, i have emailed them , spoke on the phone and said should be fine regarding cancelling , but did not know about deposit.

Given Supply and Demand and the price has gone up since i ordered, they should have no problem selling

Reasons for change , after a long hard think and talk with friends , going forward as my conditions gets worse the Jazz will be far easier to get in and out.

Whilst i only do about 5000 miles a year now i expect this to increase in the coming years.

I have had the great opportunity to drive nice cars over the years , and have got used to having some nice features,  and whilst not necessary would be nice to still have them.

I feel over the longer term the Honda (fuel consumption wise honda will do easy 60mpg up to 75-80 real world , Dacia will be about 40-45 mpg) (obv the is a much bigger price difference ) and i would probably want to change the Dacia Sooner

Looking at the EX hybrid model , its been a very hard decision
