It was exactly a year ago today when I started to look at the 4th quarter for a car for my change over which was the beginning of March.
I test drove an ID3 and placed an order which would be endorsed by Motability the first week of December.
About 2 weeks later I rang the garage to ask a few questions about the car I had ordered – I was constantly ignored – switch board left several messages with rep with promises to ring back – towards the end of October I gave up and test drove the Kona – a premium version – I placed order for the Kona ultimate light interior in misty jungle which I swopped out for my – then – Prius phev end of July.
So VW Lookers did me a huge favour – I am so glad I went with the Kona after 2 months with the car – it has exceeded all my expectations.
I have just been looking at the new 4th quarter filtered by Phev and EV – wow what a difference a year makes – the choice seems both limited and over priced – if I had the decision to make now I would stick with the Prius Phev.
I do sincerely hope the new year brings better choice and lower prices – it must be extremely frustrating for people looking for a change of car now.
I suspect many will stick with what they have – those prices buys a lot of fuel, even with a thirsty car.
