I don’t think anyone would choose to go back to an ICE car. Ranges are dropping off gradually although from others experience we should still be looking at something in the very high 200’s, maybe even 300. Going forward, the Industry has a problem. Grants have disappeared and electricity prices have doubled. Unless someone can take advantage of home charging, especially at overnight rates, there is little financial incentive to make the switch. And on Motability the current offerings are pitiful, a mixture of small cars and inadequate ranges, for many. Regarding ranges, I tend to use my car during the day, not an early bird. Tomorrow however I will be travelling home after dusk, so will keep an eye on the energy use, out of curiosity. As others have commented, not sure what tweaks Hyundai have made to the battery but it seems to outperform it’s rivals for efficiency.
