Solar energy is a great solution but it will never be adopted on the scale required or at least not in the hands of the people. Big business demands consumers, if we are all self reliant for energy there’s a huge hole left in the capitalist business model. As big business owns all western governments that will never be allowed to happen.
The most probable outcome is that solar farms will be sanctioned, built and run so that the energy can be SOLD to us. We must consume, we must spend, that is our purpose (to them).
