A small suggestion to avoid possible angst over the heatwave: fill your car(s) up with fuel, either hydrocarbon or electric, as soon as possible. One “danger” from the heat has been given as power cuts and “damage to infrastructure”. It would only take one or two fuel stations to be out of action for the press to blaze away about a world-stopping fuel shortage and cause huge queues. Same for electricity cuts. Not being alarmist… just cautious and aware of how dim today’s press coverage can be!
