Indeed, my mileage has halved since returning to work as I can now work from home – it would be even less, but my wife now wants a lift to work if I am at home instead of taking the bus, so that adds 30 miles a day, sometimes more if she wants or needs collecting as well.
My electric costs are about 1/4 of my previous diesel, so every mile is a saving. Of course, the Soul is not as large nor as capable as the S-Max, but then, in the S-Max, like many other large cars, the diesel was no longer available and it has dropped off the scheme altogether. Must say the C5X looks tempting, but no change for me for two years yet, so who knows what will be around by then or how high the AP’s will have gone!
