I’ve always thought the way dealers work with Motability is a happy fraud day possibility for the dealer as we are never in the know as to what the dealer puts forward to Motability in their invoice.
As an instance last year I went to the dealer to have the wiper blades replaced and all done after they got authorisation from Motability but we don’t see that authorisation and what they said needs doing to the car. For all I know they could of said the wiper blades and a few light bulbs needed replacing or anything else that’s subjected to ware and tear.
New blades fitted and off I go on my merry way with no bill or invoice but more often I’m sure that a correct bill was sent to Motability but we can’t be sure can we. Same goes for Kwikfit when I had the 2 front tyres renewed, no invoice and again for all I know the possibility of Motability being charge for 4 tyres and again ‘I’m sure a correct invoice was sent to Motability but its open to fraud because of the lack of communication with we customers and Motability.
When it comes to servicing we get an invoice and noticed on my last service that they wanted to renew the front brake pads and were declined by Motability because they still had ex amount of ware left on them and the car is due to go back soon. So in the case of service I do see what’s going on but when turning up for a fair ware and tear items we don’t. That said some of the things are manufacturers warranty items and assume there’s no charge but again, we don’t know.
I’m just surprised you got an invoice Victor though I do sometimes get one more often I don’t.
