I got a text re the home charging point before I got home, what do most people do, have it fitted straight away or wait until nearer the delivery date?
Personally, I would wait until much closer to your vehicle actually arriving. An 8 to 10 month wait can easily become a year or more in the current climate. That’s a very long time and two things could happen during that time. With EV technology evolving and improving all the time, there could be a newer generation charger being rolled out in a years time. Secondly, as the Kona isn’t quite ticking all your boxes (given your comment about the boot space being a bit small), something bigger and more suitable could make it on to the scheme in the future and you might want to cancel the Kona and order something else, which may even not require a charger if, for example, it’s a self-charging hybrid!
