Carers allowance is available to all though?
As long as you’re actually a carer. I’ll not complain, i think carers allowance is a joke and a half in the first place, full time carers should be paid the same wage as any other carer. Especially in the current climate, i can’t imagine how someone who’s fully reliant on CA and in extension UC is supposed to get through the month.
That’s £550ish quid a month, with £200-£250 going towards electricity/gas alone. And that’ll go up again in october.
Those £500 won’t do much for carers, but they certainly will give a month or maybe two of respite.
