We have had good and bad experiences, some dealers have been great others damn right rude ‘Come back when the mobility guy is here’ being one of them.

I think it some of it comes down to the training of the sales people and the ethos of the dealer principle, due to the nature of the job sales staff in many dealerships have a large turn over rate and the sales people in said dealerships are under immense pressure to ‘sell’, which may be a reason they dont want to spend much time on customers they cannot ‘fleece’ or have low profit margins.

Many years ago I worked for a French automaker who ran a discounted new vehicle scheme for employees and families, a family member was looking for a new car and having my scheme discount number already approved we went into my local dealership and spent a pleasant 10 minutes speaking to the salesmen and being shown a lovely new vehicle, when I mentioned that the vehicle we would be purchasing would be via the scheme, he turned round and siad ‘have a look at the vehicles if you like one let me know’ and then walked off.
