I had this on an Audi, when I pressed the button to close, it would stop about a quarter from the top and come down again. I fixed it by putting the tiniest spray of WD40 on the edge of both sides of the glass. A sensor was cutting in when it felt resistance and sending the window back down to avoid burning out the motor.
