The Aerton is a lovely looking beast. A bigger, more luxurious replacement for the CC that has priced itself out of our reach – even the lowest model is above the cap. Interestingly, I just read that VW dropped the CC because it didn’t sell very well. I wonder how the Aerton is doing in the Real World market where many other manufacturers have massively raised their game in the last three years or so.
The Arteon is highly unlikely to be directly replaced by a new model as the present model isn’t selling particularly well either. In attempt to diversify the product, VW added the Shooting Brake and ‘R’ variants.
