BMW X1 xdrive 2.0 petrol, only done 300 miles in it so far and averaged 36mpg with the heating on high most of the time, sure it will get better as it runs in, first petrol car I have had in 12 years, but only got a best of 43mpg in the pug 3008 1.5 diesel which has just gone back, and adding in the cheaper petrol cost and not having to buy ad blue every month may not end up being that much worse on running costs
It will be better in the summer Andy. We have the 4WD version and were getting an average of 44mpg in the summer and it could get close to 50mpg on a long run. We are now getting around 40mpg during the cold months with the heater cranked up, heated seats on etc. I tend to drive it in Eco Pro mode as it’s never lacking for power when you need it, unlike our 190PS diesel Tiguan which you had to flick into Sport mode to overtake without lag. It’s a bit late now, but if your Peugeot was a Motability car they will pay for the AdBlue. I don’t miss having to use that either!
