This happened to me with my Vauxhall Astra ST. Long wait and, due to downgrades, not what I ordered. Cutting a long story short, Motability allowed me a free exchange after just a few weeks. What I really should have done was reject the car before it got to the final handover.
Now in a Toyota Corolla TS hybrid that I extremely happy with.
