I can’t say I’ve really experienced any problems with DSG and I’ve had them for years. I pretty much always drive in “eco” mode as that’s much smoother round town. I know a lot of people go for “sport” mode all the time but I don’t see the point as it’s pretty jerky at low speed. Sport mode and low speed don’t exactly go hand in hand though so it’s understandable really.
As for not being in control, that’s something I just can’t get my head around.
Im also not buying into this theory that people who drive auto’s are less aware of what’s going on around them. Next time I see a Ferrari at the lights I’ll be sure to ask the driver about that one, assuming they haven’t fallen asleep from being so bored ?
